iDisabled is an application that will help disabled people. There are many points in a city unprepared for disabled people, whom because of a physical condition or even because they may require wheelchairs, see those points as barriers.
At iDisabled our mission is to improve the quality of live of these persons and the ones that helps them day to day with an application where the user will be able to pair up a photo of a physical barrier with its exact location, and with our app, this user will easily send the photo to whom it may concern in the city council. In the city council they will be able to know about the different places and track how many requests there are to facilitate disabled access. The more request for action they receive, the more relevant will it be and faster action is necessary.

Our company is a social company, because we are trying to help people and improve live of a community. We also want people in general and Governmental institutions to be more aware of the improvement needed in general and in specific points of a city. As a consequence of the use of our App city councils will be able to perform their job in a more easy and reliable manner.
Our first aim is not the money we can earn, but help people, however we are not an NGO, we want to have some income. We will do that selling our service to several city councils, advertisement in our applications and some donations from people and NGOs.
- At iDisable we have come up with an idea to reduce mobility issues within a specific city and group of citizens as well as try to end with such a problem in society in general.
- We developed a concept and build up a company business plan and go through the difficulties working as a team.
- We have created a web page that aims to improve awareness on this issue and the people affected by it.
- We have created a web page to let iDisabled known through the network and social media and purchased the iDisabled .org & .es domain names.
-We have already contracted and briefed a group of programmers to develop our app.
- We are creating a network of partners from our city to involve them in our project including Governmental institutions, NGOs and key players/partners network all around the idea of solving the mobility issues.
- In the process we have successfully presented Company Report, entered different competitions and delivered Stage Presentations (before a large audience and in a foreign language), submitted on-line Interviews, had an iDisabled Exhibition Stand in the trade fair exhibition of our open doors at the Bell-lloc School and stood for various online Panel Interview with the Judges.
- We have reached the SEP competition final and ThinkBig.
- We have been awarded by the Prince of Girona Foundation the “most innovating social project” of our region.
- We just have just won, 20 June 2013, the SEP European competition.
